
In the world of outsourced call centers, especially in India, Philippines or Latin America, most agents join the industry because of its high pay structure. We’ve heard this story before.
But, with the tremendous competition for the labor force, your critical success factor to have people sign up is how you structure the compensation package.
Most companies would offer you loads of money in your basic pay. For those who are starting, this is the first thing they would consider, forgetting about the tax rates and end up disappointed when they get their first pay check. Nevertheless, this keeps them from leaving.
Another would entice people with the bonus structure. Some offer more than 12 months of pay or offer a quarterly, even a monthly incentive based on performance. For upper management, a profit sharing scheme grabs a lot of attention.
Others will show them the long list of allowances that may include transportation, a free mobile phone, and even food allowance.
Lastly, other companies would offer medical and dental benefits, to include their dependents as well.
So, what is the best then? What is your recommendation? Here is mine.
