The Grammy Awards is an event most musical enthusiasts would watch. About 17.5 million people viewed the telecast.
This is relevant to the industry because call centers usually have “theme days”.
I overheard an Operations Manager planning with his team on what people should wear on Friday (usual theme day). One spoke of celebrating Valentine’s Day and red should be the common color. This was passé and common so another suggested having agents dress up as their favorite music artist, continuing by saying it would be something different and perfect timing due to the Grammy Awards telecast. The plan was set.
When it was announced, a lot were relieved that they didn’t have to wear red, especially those who were single. It was exceptionally accepted by gay men, thinking of what to wear during the “theme day".
Of course, management reminded the agents to wear clothes within the guidelines of the dress code.
