
Any social being would have a best friend or two in their lifetime. But, we are sure to have a group of friends in the workplace. Interestingly enough, about 90% of the employees in a call center is within the 20-35 age range. People would always cling to their batch mates and a “barkada (group of friends / gang)” is born. It’s like college all over again.
The level of acceptance in a group creates a social behavior to keep them from leaving. This is true especially in a high stress environment, where agents flock to the smoking area to chat about their recent phone call experience. This creates a bond between people.
Friendships are formed and everyone realizes it’s better to stay in the industry because a relationship is important.
They know now that to survive and succeed, having friends and lovers by their side is the best part.
