Homeshoring Jobs

I posted about 4 homeshoring jobs that I knew were legitimate a little while ago.  These are companies that I know personally or know people who have worked for them and could attest that they were NOT a work at home scam.

It is interesting that in a recent MSN Money article about Jobs you can do from home, Homeshoring was mentioned and the author lists 3 of the 4 companies that I listed (just where did she get her information, eh?).

Here is from her article:

Some call centers that say they are currently hiring include:

LiveOps was an outsourcing at-home agent that I was not familiar with.  You want to set up your own Homeshoring option?  Apparently, LiveOps allows you to do so.

Thanks to the Internet and better call-routing technology, more companies are finding they can outsource their order-taking, sales and problem-solving calls to home-based workers, said LiveOps CEO Bill Trenchard. LiveOps not only runs an outsource operation, but it provides the technology for companies that want to set up their own home-based call centers "since only about 10% to 12% of call center work is outsourced," Trenchard said.

There are alot of opportunities for working at home in call centers. I have been doing it for 4 years now.

What I have to say about West at Home Agents, is that I have dumped time and money into this work at home project and have yet to work a second. You have to print out a 299 page manual and then more printing comes later so you better have a good printer. For work you have to sit there and hit refresh over and over again to even see time, then click on two more buttons. Only to find the time was taken by someone else. You only get paid 17 cents per min of actual talk time. And they killed two hours of some time I finally got at the last min. IF they don't think they will have enough business. There really is no help, PALS they always say, just look for the answer and you'll find it. The training is very shoddy as my husband was a call center trainer. He could not believe how bad it was. Home Shopping Network there are hundreds of pages of information to learn. And you can't print it out unless you do a Print Screen. For the time I put into the training it not worth the effort . Try another Company to work with.

I am currently working for West at Home and only had to do about 10 hours of training, I do go back into the training during my working hours, as I like to stay up on everything. I am currently at .20 per talk minute, with guaranteed hourly rates right now. I have not had any problems at all with getting hours, I have been working between 25 and 30 hours a week for about a month now. No, I have not been working for them for long, but as far as I can tell, they are a GREAT company.

I worked with West At Home...I worked with them for 2 yrs til recently...not many calls coming in...and I was ranking group 1...and the pay has gone down to .15 per minute...support is not there when you need it...forget using email...you won't get a response....they were never like this before...the last few months the company has gone down...from support and training,pay...I no longer work for them and would not advise anyone else to sign on with them
