
A call center has a large workforce. As it grows, communication is integral to the company’s success and the goal is to get all news, updates or even speeches to every employee. This is called a newsletter and most people wouldn’t even pick it up unless they are featured.
But, one group has managed to invest into publishing a call center lifestyle magazine. What’s great about this is that it is FREE to call center employees and distributed to businesses who are members of a call center association.
What’s different? They focus on the people who keep the industry alive. They celebrate their victories and feature their lives. They write articles and cover events dedicated to those who work long and hard hours within a tough environment.
Like any other lifestyle magazine, the sections include fashion, establishments where they can go when everything else is closed, outstanding performers and cool recreational facilities.
One particular section I like is having to highlight profiles of call center employees with unique hobbies. This proves that one can still create that balance despite of the hectic schedule and stressful environment.
Kudos to the group for starting one in our area. Perhaps this could be a start of a new trend in the publishing arena?
